Retail billionaire Jeff Bezos’s aerospace firm Blue Origin has shared a new video of its BE-4 rocket engine. Blue Origin is one of three American companies developing large rockets as part of a consolidated effort to increase the tonnage shipped by the aerospace industry and offer private firms as well as the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) multiple options to launch satellites and other payloads both into space and to the Moon....

The weirdness of Mouthful Mode aside, this is just looking like a great overall 3D platformer. According to recent reports, developer TT Games has spent nearly five years on The Skywalker Saga, during which crunch was a frequent issue. Hopefully the game’s ambition (it covers every one of the nine core Star Wars movies and features over 500 playable characters) was worth it....

Well, TT Games has decided to throw a wrench into their well-oiled machine with Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. The studio has spent the last three years on The Skywalker Saga exclusively and are promising not only their biggest adventure ever but one that pushes their trademark Lego gameplay in new, more ambitious directions. Apple to Launch New iPad Pro Models in Fall With M2 Chip and MagSafe Capabilities According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple will launch the next generation of its iPad Pro lineup in the fall with an ‘M2’ chip. Gurman suggests in his latest Power On newsletter that it is only reasonable to expect an even more powerful iPad this year since Apple did not upgrade its iPad Pro. Moreover, since the iPad Air and iPad Pro feature the same chip, Apple wants to keep a margin between the two when it comes to performance....

Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick was successfully re-elected to the board of directors for another year as a result of the company’s annual shareholder meeting yesterday. And yes, this happened in spite of the massive protests that have been happening surrounding the company’s culture of discrimination and abuse. This also comes in spite of a few shareholders opposing the vote while calling for Kotick’s resignation....

Apple to Launch AirPods Pro 2 This Fall, New Color For AirPods Max Also Expected According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple will launch its AirPods Pro 2 this fall. Apple launched the original AirPods Pro in 2019 and multiple reports have suggested that Apple might be looking to introduce the upgraded model this year. In addition, the AirPods Max is also stated to host new color options later on. In his latest Power On newsletter, Gurman writes: Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also mentioned the fall launch of the new AirPods Pro 2, suggesting that the upgraded technology might reach the consumer in the second half of 2022....

Disruptive Games CEO and founder Eric Ellis, who previously worked on multiplayer titles at Insomniac Games, added: Disruptive Games is an independent studio based in Berkeley, California, known for co-developing games like Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, Diablo II: Resurrected, Godfall, and Orcs Must Die! Unchained. Their new IP is still mostly under wraps, although the press release does confirm it will be a multiplatform title built for both cooperative and competitive play....

This update doesn’t just come with news regarding Luna’s userbase. In fact, there are some other quality of life improvements worth addressing. Some of these QoL changes also involve platforms other than Luna. The next QoL update influences the Twitch platform. With the latest Luna update on PC, Mac, and Fire TV, a new broadcast button lets you stream gameplay live with a camera feed overlaid on-screen, providing a new, simple way to broadcast to friends or the Twitch community....

AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT, RX 6750 XT, RX 6650 XT Graphics Cards Based on RDNA 2 Refresh GPUs Rumored For Launch Next Month This time, the rumor comes from Enthusiast Citizen who has been highly reliable with his leaks in the past and this is a further confirmation that the red team is going to launch its RDNA 2 Refreshed graphics card next month. The leaker states that in addition to the three RDNA 2 refresh graphics cards, AMD will also introduce the Radeon RX 6500 (Non-XT) which will be similar to the Radeon RX 6400 but aimed at the DIY market whereas the former is only available in the OEM segment....

Benchmarks comparing the AMD AOCC 4.0 and LLVM/Clang compiler library are put to the test on Zen 4 powered Ryzen & EPYC CPUs The new AOCC 4.0 presents the Zen 4 “zenver4” optimizations and further support for the latest architecture. AOCC 4.0 is not open-source. It is a derivative of the LLVM/Clang compiler library and is considered exclusive to AMD Zen 4. Michael Larabel of Phoronix compared the two compiler libraries with his AMD Ryzen 9 7950X processor to determine the performance differences between the two libraries....

AMD opens the Radeon Ray tracing Analyzer code to the public and the new Radeon Data File extension AMD explains that the Radeon Raytracing Analyzer will allow users to monitor the performance of applications using raytracing and locate possible issues that could arise during use. Along with the announcement of RRA code becoming available to the public, AMD has also revealed the AMD Radeon Data File, a library on GitHub under “amdrdf,” which will allow developers to open Radeon Data Files or RDFs....
