Chipmaker Advanced Micro Devices, Inc (AMD) became the latest semiconductor company to fall in the face of weakening product demand in a turbulent macroeconomic environment. AMD, which has managed to weather the storm its larger rivals Intel Corporation and NVIDIA Corporation have faced throughout the course of this year, revealed in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) at market close today that its revenue from its client computing group will face significant annual and sequential drops....

AMD Unleashes 4th Gen EPYC Genoa CPUs on The 10th of November, Server Dominance Continues The AMD Zen 4 lineup will be split into three families, the standard Zen 4 for EPYC Genoa, the Compute Density-Optimized Zen 4C for EPYC Bergamo, and the Cache-Optimized Zen 4 V-Cache within the EPYC Genoa-X series. Furthermore, the lineup will be featuring a cost-optimized and entry-level server offering known as EPYC Siena which will feature the same Zen 4 cores but on an entirely new platform known as SP6 which will once again focus on optimizing TCO compared to SP5....

AMD Radeon RX 7000 Graphics Cards With RDNA 3 GPUs To Be More Power Hungry Than RDNA 2-Powered Radeon RX 6000 Series Both AMD and NVIDIA are expected to heavily focus on efficiency and GPU power design of their next-gen GPUs to deliver higher performance. AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT Geekbench 5 OpenCL & Vulkan Benchmarks Leaked, Around 10% Slower Than RX 7900 XTX The performance benchmarks were leaked within the Geekbench 5 benchmark and showcase the OpenCL & Vulkan performance of the upcoming graphics card. Based on the benchmark numbers, we can see that the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT graphics card is around 10% slower than the Radeon RX 7900 XTX but clearly beats the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 in Vulkan while getting close in OpenCL performance....

SiSoftware used its own benchmark software and entries made within them to round up the performance and efficiency of the upcoming Zen 4 CPUs. The tests are limited to specific tests in the company’s SiSoftware Sandra benchmarking software. Additionally, the line graphs focused on the AMD Ryzen 5 7600X have typographical mistakes, such as the Ryzen 5 7600X at one point is labeled as the Ryzen 5 7760X, and the i5-12600K shows that it is an i7 processor is also incorrect....
